2025 DofE Expedition and Residential Voyages

DofE Silver Open Expedition . This is a 7 day expedition that includes training, practice expedition and final assessed expedition. No previous experience is necessary. The expedition cost includes all food on board, mooring fees, fuel and use of waterproofs and lifejackets. Travel to/from the start/finish port is not included.

Silver Expedition Dates - 11th to 18th August 2025. Start and finish in Ipswich, Suffolk. Voyage fee £631 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office)

DofE Gold Open Expedition . This is a 9 day expedition that includes training, practice expedition and final assessed expedition. No previous experience is necessary. The expedition cost includes all food on board, mooring fees, fuel and use of waterproofs and lifejackets. Travel to/from the start/finish port is not included. Voyage fee £811 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office)

Gold Expedition Dates - 21st to 30th July 2025. Start and finish in Ipswich, Suffolk. . 16th - 25th August 2025. Start and finish in Ipswich Suffolk. 26th September to 5th October 2025. Start and finish in Ipswich Suffolk.

Gold Residential Voyages. The following voyages are suitable for booking by individuals for the residential section of the Gold Award. As a member of the crew you will experience all aspects of sailing an offshore yacht. You will be involved in steering, sail management, cooking and navigation. The voyages help to build confidence, encourage working as a team and other life skills. No previous experience is necessary.

Tall Ships Race Delivery - 30th June to 5th July 2025, Ipswich to Le Havre. An opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a Tall Ships Race port. Their will be opportunity to visit Channel ports before arriving in Le Havre for the gathering of the Tall Ships Race competitors. A Passport is essential for this trip. Travel to/from the start and finish ports is not included. Voyage fee £450 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office).

Tallships Race Leg 1 - 5th to 11th July 2025, Le Havre to Dunkirk. Join at Le Havre and take part in the Parade of Sail with all the Tallships Competitors, before racing up the English Channel to Dunkirk. Experience the camaraderie of being a Tallships crew, working together to get the best from the yacht. On arrival you will be able to join in the shoreside activities and crew party. A passport is essential for this trip. Travel to/from the start and finish ports is not included. Voyage fee £594 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office)

Tallships Race Leg 2 - 11th to 21st July 2025, Dunkirk to Aberdeen. Join at Dunkirk and take part in the Parade of Sail with all the Tallships Competitors, before racing up the North Sea to Aberdeen. Experience the camaraderie of being a Tallships crew, working together to get the best from the yacht. On arrival you will be able to join in the shoreside activities and crew party. Tallships Return Delivery - 21st to 28th July 2025, Aberdeen to Ipswich. Set sail from Aberdeen and experience offshore sailing with possible visits to Eyemouth, Whitby and Lowestoft before arriving back in Ipswich. Travel to/from the start and finish ports is not included. Voyage fee £693 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office)

Dutch Waterways Explorer - 1st to 8th August 2025, Ipswich to Ipswich. Set sail from Ipswich,and cross the North Sea to Vlissingen in Holland. Explore the sheltered Dutch inland waterways with traditional fishing ports and quaint villages before returning across the North Sea to Ipswich Voyage fee £693 (Bursary funding may be available - please contact the office)
